I am a self-proclaimed “wordie,” kind of like a foodie but, you know, with words 🙂
When I was little, I would come home from the bookstore, lock myself away with a huge stack of brand-new chapter books, and have half of them finished before bedtime.
Around that time, I started writing my own “books,” wobbly attempts at suspenseful that were more goofy than gripping. These silly storybooks are still stashed somewhere…now and then, I pull them out when I’m in need of a good laugh.
But, as I grew older and began to run out of new books to read, I realized that it was time to do something about it. I was going to write my own books.
What began as a love affair with reading slowly morphed into a zest for writing, which quickly became an all-around fascination with the publishing world.
Now, as a sixteen-year-old junior in high school, I am passionately pursuing publication for my contemporary Christian YA novel. Along the way, I’ll be posting my random ramblings, as well as the thoughts of some of my “writerly friends.”
When I’m not writing, you can find me playing music, teaching music, and listening to music, as well as working in the kitchen with my mom, doodling in one of my many sketchbooks, exploring the unusual world of Bible journaling, and walking in the beautiful Oregon countryside with my mom and our mischievous Chocolate Labrador Retriever.
